CSIA’s Inspections and Report Writing is a three-day program designed to enhance your inspection process. During this session, our instructors will concentrate on helping you build the narrative-style reports your customers demand.

Topics covered:
• Different styles of writing including performance-based, real estate inspection and proposal language.
• Data collection detail using the NFPA 211 Level 1 and 2 inspection standards and the best ways to systemize data collected. Simply put, you’ll learn how to do a thorough and professional inspection in the field. 
• Understanding the differences between IRC 2006 and NFPA211. 
• Which photos to take and why. You’ll learn proper photo progression techniques.
• Photography skills and how to interpret photos from video scanners.
• Using your computer; how to archive your photos, short cuts and templates to make the process easier.

Inspections and Report Writing is a fast-paced 3-day session to be held at the CSIA Technology Center near Indianapolis on September 15-17, 2008. Instructors, Tom Urban and Paul Anderson, will walk you though inspections of the Tech Center’s chimneys and will then teach you how to put the photos from the field into a professional narrative report. Optional evening workshops (included in registration) will also be held in the computer lab for those who want to brush up on or learn new skills. When you attend CSIA’s Inspections and Report Writing, you’ll design at least three complete reports. (CEU information coming soon!)
